SENIOR COST ESTIMATOR

NASHVILLE, TN

Connico is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, seasoned, Senior Cost Estimator, for a fulltime position reporting to our Nashville location. Relocation is negotiable. The ideal candidate must be self-directed, including organizing and prioritizing workload necessary to meet deadlines, budget constraints and client needs.  The position requires generating preconstruction estimates ranging from conceptual/programmatic to construction document phase estimates.  Candidates must have written communication skills necessary to generate the deliverable estimate reports.  Candidates must have verbal skills necessary to deal directly with clients/owners and be a team player.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum seven years estimating experience in varied market segments.
  • Experience in the aviation market is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing major projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Advanced proficiency in related estimating software programs, such as On Screen, Timberline, Success.
  • Strong organizational skills, the capability of reading architectural and engineering drawings, quantity take-offs and good conceptual aptitude are required.
  • Travel will be required.
  • Candidate with a CCP, CPE or PE is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

SENIOR MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Multi-service construction consulting and management firm is seeking a motivated, detail oriented Mechanical and Electrical Estimator for a full-time position. Location to be determined. Candidate must be self-directed, including organizing and prioritizing workload necessary to meet deadlines, budget constraints, and client needs. Position requires cost estimates from conceptual/programmatic to construction phase. Candidate must have written communication skills necessary to generate the deliverable estimate reports. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum seven years commercial/industrial experience in varied market segments. Experience in the aviation market is preferred, but not required.
  • 4-year technical degree in construction, engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Candidate with construction experience is preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 or above programs including, but not limited to, Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to read architectural and engineering drawings, quantity take-offs and good conceptual aptitude are required.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Candidate with a CCC/CCE or CPE is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Junior Cost Estimator 

NASHVILLE, TN

Connico is accepting resumes for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Cost Estimator for a full-time position in our Nashville location. Responsibilities include preparing quantity takeoffs and learning the estimating process from concept to construction in order to establish skills and knowledge for advancement as an estimator.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to, Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Marketing Coordinator

Connico, a construction consulting firm specializing in cost estimating, scheduling, program and project management is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Nashville, TN. Working in a highly collaborative environment, this position combines the traditional marketing coordinator role with market research and information management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in Marketing, English, Journalism, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of architectural and / or engineering proposal experience.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, InDesign and Adobe.
  • Strong writing, editing, presentation and graphic design skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize multiple proposal efforts.
  • Ability to multi-task and work against deadlines in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.

 

Proposal Support:

  • Prepare proposal responses, including various specialized documents (i.e. SF 330).
  • Work with technical staff to ensure proposal response is on-point and appropriately worded.
  • Manage the preparation of submission packages, tailored resumes, responses and presentations for select RFQs and RFPs.

 

Market Research and Information Management:

  • Maintain and update information in databases and information used in marketing materials.
  • Gather information for upcoming projects and tracking leads.
  • Research may include upcoming professional conferences, award submittal dates and other activities and help to maintain a calendar of this information.
